It comes down to this: we have the power, therefore, We Make The Rules.

In creating a community that educates both consumers and businesses, our goals are to bring like minds together, share information and take constructive action...all to make the world a better place in how we treat ourselves, each other, the creatures that roam our earth and the perfection that is our planet. We have strong opinions, but seek the truth, to further create awareness among citizens and consumers about the products they use and the businesses they support. When citizens support a business, buy a product or service, we support the methods and means by which that product is produced, the use of ingredients they contain, how they are marketed and distributed...and ultimately, we support how profits made by these companies are used, whether for good or for bad.

We need to take ownership of how, where and on what we spend our money. Are we contributing to the cruel and torturous testing of products on animals. Are we supporting products whose marketing shames people for not having an ideal body, who no longer look young or whose interests lie outside societal norms? With each purchase are we letting businesses know we're okay with pesticides in our food and genetically modified organisms on our shelves? Are we poisoning our children with chemicals instead of nourishing them with food? With each receipt we sign, are we fueling the power of those that support pipelines that put our water and precious lands at risk, thus giving away our own power and compromising our own voice?

To us, it's all pretty simple; no need to over complicate things. Shaming people for being different is wrong, animal testing is abhorrent, chemicals are not food, nature isn't indestructible and there is always a consequence. Consumers are smart, but we have been lied to and fooled repeatedly, all for the sake of profits. When you put profits before people, before the well being of animals and nature, we are all worse off. Sadly, it comes down to a bottom line, to greed, to selfishness. But, and here's the good news, change is happening. Citizens, consumers, are embracing their power, using their voice. We are fed up; fed up with cancer and other diseases, fed up with childhood obesity, with the destruction of our natural habitats and of earth's beautiful creatures, fed up with unethical business practices and the ruination left in their wake.

There's no going back. Our community of advocates is focused; our voices are loud, our message is clear. Our purchasing power is all the power we need. Shall we get started, friends? xoxoWMTR
